The Edinboro area is known as the “land of the living snowflake” and in keeping with the spirit of wintertime activities Washington Township is proud to announce that it has some awesome cross country skiing to offer those that enjoy this activity. Immediately behind the Administration Building is nearly 90 acres of groomed (yes, we said groomed) trails for you to explore and enjoy. Bring your equipment and park in the Veterans Park parking lot on the right as you enter, or travel further down Washington Drive and park at the gate to lower half of Wainer Park. To your right as you drive down the road you will see expansive areas for skiing along with wooded areas with some challenging terrain.

After you have finished with your outdoor fun, stop into the Engine House 39 located on your left behind the Township DPW Garage and enjoy a great meal and beverage. This supports the Edinboro Fire Department and is a great place to meet with friends and enjoy the winter at beautiful Washington Township. Don’t tell us there is nothing to do in the winter here. Come on, strap on your skis and head out on a brisk day to enjoy what nature has to offer, then sit down and tell your friends about it over dinner and drinks.
